Introduction
This review is for those of you that is like me, who came to the UK from countries with soft water. There has never been an issue of limescale residue on your kitchen appliances and anything that the water touches. Limescale residue can be easily removed using products or just baking soda and vinegar but that’s not the reason I get a filter. The most important reason is Health. Although some doctor claims that very hard water supplements the body with calcium and magnesium, others mentioned cases of skin irritation, hair loss and Gastrointestinal and digestive problems with the extra mineral contents in the water. For someone who has been used to drinking soft water and distilled water, I would be careful introducing so much minerals into my body suddenly.
Also, the taste of the water is different from what I’m used to. Below are the review of the 2 filters that I have used before.
Why Filter Your Water?
While UK tap water is generally safe to drink, it can often contain impurities like chlorine, lead, and limescale that can affect its taste and quality. Filtering your water can:
- Improve taste and smell: Reduce chlorine and other impurities that can make water taste unpleasant.
- Protect appliances: Limescale can damage appliances like kettles and coffee machines.
- Enhance the flavour of drinks: Filtered water can improve the taste of tea, coffee, and other beverages.
